11/05/2008: 10 year old Diomede boy shot to death

He was shot to death when preparing for a hunt.

The blood of this child is on the hands of each and every gun owner. He died because he was shot–and he had a gun because gun owners think it’s important to have a gun and have made it possible to own one in 2008 America.

Shame on you all.

  1. No shame here. Firearms are an integral part of our American heritage. More people are killed by cars than with guns. Following your logic, you should trumpet the implosion of the Big 3 in Detroit. Their demise would save thousands of lives.

  2. Cars have utility—they have a useful purpose in everyday life. Guns do not. They did in 1776, not now. Time to melt them down.

  3. THE BOY DIED NOT BECAUSE HE HAD A GUN, IT IS BECAUSE HE HAD NO SAFETY KNOWLEDGE OF THE GUN. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND ALWAYS TREAT A GUN AS IF IT IS LOADED. FIRST BASIC RULE THAT HE DID NOT FOLLOW

  4. Dude, the boy died because he had a gun that went off while it was pointed at him. I understand that this simple fact goes against everything you’ve ever though against guns. Stop trying to twist your brain into a pretzel while comprehending all of this–it really isn’t that hard. If you are shot, it is because a firearm was pointed at you when it went off. If that firearm were not there, you would not be shot 100% of the time.
